The SDLC is an industry best practice methodology for planning, creating, and delivering software that effectively and efficiently meets business requirements and customer needs. ITS leverages, and also provides to our community, the following Atlassian SDLC applications: Confluence, Jira Software, and Bitbucket with Pipelines. Confluence is used to store project and other documentation and is the underlying technology for the University knowledgebase. Jira is a bug or issue tracking framework. Bitbucket is a version control repository, while Pipelines adds development workflow and automation. We recently finished transitioning from locally run versions of these tools to the Atlassian’s cloud-hosted products, allowing us to incorporate Pipelines and streamlining use from remote locations.
