ITS manages the multi-year life cycle of classroom technology, and this generally entails incrementally updating equipment over time. However, we replace the computers en masse as this helps provide the most consistent instructor experience. Between now and the start of the fall semester, ITS will upgrade the computers in all centrally-supported classrooms. The new equipment will be deployed utilizing our next generation cloud-based workstation management technology, which follows Microsoft’s stated service direction. Concurrent with this migration, classroom computers will offer a new login process. Individuals will log in using their published UConn email address (NAME@uconn.edu) and NetID password. ITS will provide additional information as this unfolds to ensure that the community is prepared for this change.
