Accessible digital content and technologies ensure broader engagement by removing impediments for people with disabilities. ITS developed the IT Accessibility site, in concert with multiple University units, to provide our community with a central resource for information about, and strategies for, creating accessible content. The site incorporates best practice features, such as better support for keyboard-only navigation and proper color contrast, and facilitates the use of assistive technologies, like screen readers. ITS will pilot emerging or alternative features that are being considered for inclusion into university Aurora themes on this site first. For more information, visit accessibility.its.uconn.edu.
